Structural Heart Disease - Course based on transcatheter procedures on simulators performed by interventional cardiologists and echocardiographers
A dedicated course for interventional cardiologists and echocardiographers, integrating realistic structural intervention simulation, 2D/3D/MPR echocardiography and hemodynamics.
Important: to participate in the Structural Heart Disease Imaging Course, interventional cardiologists interested in this activity must pay both the congress registration fee and the specific course registration fee.
Only echocardiographers, whether DIC members or non-members, may register exclusively for the Structural Heart Disease Imaging Course without the need to be registered for the congress.
Organized by the SBHCI and DIC/SBC Center of Excellence in Simulation.
Structural Heart Disease Image Course
Integrated realistic simulation - 2D/3D/MPR echo + hemodynamics.
Organized by the SBHCI and DIC/SBC Center of Excellence in Simulation.
Concept
Immersive course integrating structural intervention simulators, advanced echocardiography (2D, 3D and MPR), Philips TOMTEC workstations and 1 Philips Epiq CVx ultrasound system. Each module reproduces a real case with a dual-track structure: hemodynamic operator and structural echocardiographer, with shared checkpoints.
Educational pillars
- image-guided procedure
- operator-imaging communication
- MPR/3D, measurements and planning
- simulation with critical checkpoints
